The business

Which business this is

A local business with a busy season and a quiet season, whose customers book online. We handle its Google search work. It is in a different field, not self-storage. We keep its name private, and both screenshots are cropped so the site cannot be identified. Self-storage is new for us, and this is the plainest before and after we have.

The starting point

Between 2022 and 2025 the site published 22 articles. Across August 2025 to February 2026, those 22 pages brought in 111 clicks from Google search.

The work

New articles started going up in February 2026 and kept going up every month. Each one was built around a search that people nearby were already typing, and its title named the place and the occasion. By October 20 there were about 170 of them. That many pages fit this business; a storage facility needs far fewer, as the last section explains.

The result

Compare August 1 to October 20 in each year: the article pages had 54 clicks in 2025 and 2,900 in 2026. Over March 1 to October 20, 2026, the same pages had 13,400 clicks and 1.11 million impressions.

Search Console totals for the article pages: 2.9K clicks and 262K impressions from August 1 to October 20, 2026, against 54 clicks and 161K impressions for the same dates in 2025.
Search Console, web search type, article pages only. The upper figures are August 1 to October 20, 2026; the lower figures are the same dates in 2025.
Search Console daily chart for the article pages, July 31, 2025 to October 20, 2026: 13.5K clicks and 1.38M impressions in total. Clicks stay near zero until March 2026, rise to peaks above 200 a day between April and early July, then settle around 25 to 50 a day.
Article pages only, across all 16 months that Search Console stores: July 31, 2025 to October 20, 2026. Clicks are the blue line and impressions the purple. Impressions for the older articles dropped off around New Year, before any new article went up; those older pages are still live and have not changed. The marker labeled 1 is Google's own note of a search update on April 21, 2026. The site name has been cropped out.

The limits

A click is a visit from Google, not a customer, and we do not publish this business's bookings or revenue. Most of the April to early July peak came from holiday articles, which climb before the holiday and drop away after it. What happened for one business is not a prediction of what will happen for yours.

What it means for a storage facility

The page count would be much smaller: a page for each unit type and a page for each town you serve, every one approved by you before it goes up. The sequence stays the same: learn what people near you already search for, publish the page that answers that search, and watch Google's own data to see whether people find it.
